Defender Safety System High EF Atmospheric Vent Blower Models
This .70 Energy Factor (EF) water heater is atmospherically vented and utilizes a highly efficient blower to pull air through a tightly restricted baffle system. This provides a high rate of heat transfer to the water stored in the tank. The baffle system, 2” of non-CFC insulation, and the electronic ignition system help the water heater achieve its high Energy Factor rating. It currently qualifies for the September 1st, 2010 minimum ENERGY STAR® EF requirement, as well as most utility rebate programs. It also meets the Department of Energy’s (DOE) future energy conservation standards set to go into effect April 16, 2015.
